As women approach the menopause (known as 'peri' menopause,) this can create lots of changes mentally and physically.
Changes in mood, anxiety and depression are common issues that some women face during this time. Some women have horrible experiences of poor sleep and waking up at night drenched in sweat. Studies show that hypnotherapy for the treatment of hot flushes was as effective as medication. Dysmenorrhea (painful periods) is a common issue, especially for young women or women during peri-menopause. This can be very unpleasant, debilitating even.
As well as painful periods many women suffer with hormonal imbalance, usually from over or under-production of hormones. This can cause a significant problem with mood disturbance, frustration and anger, anxiety, irritability, weight gain, low libido and insomnia.
Hypnotherapy can teach you techniques to manage your mood disturbance as well as pain associated with dysmenorrhea. You will be coached to adopt lifestyle changes to restore balance and good health.
